Adult Acne is More Common in Women than Men

Adult acne can be a frustrating problem, especially for women. 26% of women aged 40-49 and 15% in greater than 50 y.o. Usual treatments may include ongoing oral antibiotics, oral contraceptives, and the diuretic spironolactone.
